Healthy Living in Anaheim: Switch Coffee Beans for Juice Bars

Thursday, April 4th, 2013

With the summer coming up quickly and beaches already prepping for the season ahead, you might be considering getting healthy and ready for the beach season.

Even though you might currently be in the process of dropping those winter pounds, health is more important than looking good in your swimsuit.

If your goal is to focus on healthy living in Anaheim, one healthy thing you can do today is swap out the java for fresh juice.

In recent years, juice bars have taken hold in the area, and they have delicious offerings but haven’t completely converted the caffeine-dependent residents of our fine community.

This is the season when you should take control of your coffee cravings and swap it out for a juice. You can get the same morning kick from a perfectly blended juice drink as you get from your morning coffee.

If you are looking to kick your java habit, hit up one of the terrific juice bars in the area. Juice It Up on East Catella Avenue and Robeks in Fullerton the perfect spot for a morning pick-me-up; plus, you won’t have to wait in the Starbucks line! Jamba Juice seems to be on every corner, and Nekter Juice Bar at Anaheim Hills features green, glowing juice combos that can flush toxins and naturally cure your ailments.

Watch your favorite team in action at a sports bar in Anaheim

Cantina Lounge is a sports bar that has more of a Mexican theme. There are over fifty televisions and an eight-foot screen that drops down. This is one of the best Anaheim sports bars to see any sporting event.

For a more formal atmosphere with televisions available, JT Schmid’s is the destination you are looking for. They have steaks, pizza, pasta, and of course, handcrafted ale. From reservations to catering, JT’s has the ability to meet all of your needs.

After watching your favorite team win, or lose, you can go back to your modern apartment at The Crossing and relax. Contact The Crossing if you are interested in a one or two bedroom apartment with access to a health club and only minutes from downtown Anaheim.

Vegetarian Restaurants in Anaheim CA

Thursday, August 9th, 2012

Residents of our apartments at The Crossing who practice a vegetarian lifestyle will be delighted by the choices of Anaheim restaurants.  There some great vegetarian restaurants near our family-friendly apartment community that you should definitely check out.

Vegetarian dish

This Vegetarian Duck Bento looks delicious!

Head over to Rutabegorz for an amazing vegetarian sandwich.   They have plenty of other options for vegetarians, vegans and even offer gluten-free options.  They often serve seasonal specials in order to take advantage of the freshest possible ingredients of the season.   The Loving Hut is a similar styled restaurant that also, surprisingly, happens to be a chain!  However, their food caters to the region of the area each restaurant is in.

Or if you’re in the mood for a taste of a different culture, try out Thuyen Vien, the Vietnamese vegetarian restaurant.  Try out the Vietnamese Crepe or one of the man chicken dishes not containing real chicken!  You can also go to Healthy Junk, which offers dishes such as fish tacos and chili burgers, all vegetarian style.   Even your meat loving friends are bound to love the food here.

Have a meal at one of these fantastic vegetarian restaurants.  For more information about restaurants in the Anaheim area, view our website.
