The Best Bowling in Anaheim is at Concourse

October 13th, 2011

There’s all sorts of ways to entertain yourself in Anaheim. There’s a bottomless supply of fun things to see and do all over town, and that’s what makes living here so great. It especially helps when you live in a great apartment community like The Crossing, one that’s close by all sorts of great shops and restaurants and fun places to go. We even have a bowling alley just a short distance away when you get the itch to knock down a few pins.

We’re talking about Concourse Bowling on La Palma Ave. in Anaheim. An easy walk from The Crossing, Concourse is without a doubt the best bowling alley in Orange County. They have 40 individual lanes, so they’ve definitely got room for you and your friends if  you want to enjoy a few games. They’ve got lots of other amenities as well, including a great bar and grill that serves lots of great food. They even have league bowling if you’re a serious bowler. It also makes for a great place for birthday parties for the kids, or for your next corporate event.

Bowling is plenty fun, and Concourse is a great place to go even if you’ve never tried it. They have balls and shoes there and ready for you to rent, so take a walk down there sometime soon and try it out. Take a few of your friends with you, too.

Volunteer at OC Food Bank

October 10th, 2011

Now that Fall is in full swing, it won’t be long before the holiday season will be here and families all over America will be sitting down together to have a wonderful meal. Not everyone is quite so fortunate, however, and plenty of families will struggle through yet another season.

What’s good, though, is you can help! One of the simplest ways to help families in need in our area is to work with the Orange County Food Bank. This incredible organization distributes food to families all over Orange County that are in desperate need, providing 15 million pounds of food annually. Handing out all that food isn’t exactly easy, so they rely on volunteers to give their time at the food bank whenever possible. Volunteering your time at the food bank is a really great way to help out the community, and you’ll be making a difference in the lives of many people.

For those who can’t find time to volunteer, you can still help out by donating food like canned goods. They even accept monetary donations if you’d prefer to donate that way.

It doesn’t matter which way you decide to help so long as you make at least some contribution. Give back to the community and help make the world a little bit better place for a few unfortunate families this holiday season at the Orange County Food Bank.
