Great Ideas to Decorate Your Bedroom!

November 15th, 2011

Great bedroom decor tips!

When it comes to decorating your Crossing Anaheim apartment, it can be hard to figure out exactly what you want to do with all of your rooms. One of the hardest places to decorate is the bedroom! You don’t want it to be dull and boring, so it is important to add special touches that give the room a feel that you are going to love! Here are some great tips for decorating your bedroom and making it your own, courtesy of Free Home Decorating Ideas.

  • The furniture should be arranged so that you can walk around the room easily. Having to climb over your partner to get into bed or perform “gymnastics” to avoid stubbing your toe is not very pleasant. Your bedroom should be peaceful and soothing.
  • A good idea in bedroom decorating is to choose peaceful and relaxing artwork. Again, everything should promote rest and relaxation.
  • Choose subtle lighting, peaceful colors, and comfortable furnishings—these encourage a more tranquil and relaxing atmosphere.
  • Your bedroom should be free from clutter. You simply cannot get a good night’s sleep if you are surrounded by chaos like dirty laundry, children’s toys, work papers, or exercise equipment.

Metrolink Near The Crossing in Anaheim

        October 21st, 2011

Gas is definitely getting too expensive these days. With rising fuel costs, plenty of Anaheim citizens are looking for new ways to save money on gas. Riding a bike or walking works well when you live close to your job, but it gets unpractical past a certain distance. However, if you’re looking for a different transportation solution, consider using the Metrolink.

For residents at The Crossing, riding Metrolink is especially convenient since there’s a station just a block away from our building. Wherever you work in the city, there’s likely a Metrolink station nearby, and since there’s one here at The Crossing as well you could ride it to work everyday and save a little bit on gas money. Not only that, but you’ll be helping the environment a little by using public transportation and not pumping more pollutants into the air. That definitely makes it worth considering.

Try it out for one week and see how you like it! You never know, you might end up making it a regular routine. If you already regularly ride Metrolink, leave a comment with some tips and helpful hints for first-time riders who will be getting to know the system!

Hockey Season Kicking Off in Anaheim

        October 18th, 2011

The arrival of Fall means plenty of things for people across the country, including changing weather and football and leaves falling off trees. Here in Anaheim, however, we get excited about the arrival of Fall for another reason. It might be a bit of surprise given that this is California we’re talking about, but now that October is in full swing that means pro hockey is getting started!

What that means is it’s time to gather up your hockey buddies and head over to the Honda Center to see the Anaheim Ducks take on the best teams in the NHL. Our Anaheim Ducks are already off to a great start, climbing right to the top of the standings in the Western Division, and they’re only going to fly higher from there, right? But they can’t do it without you! Everyone in Anaheim needs to be coming out to the game to cheer on the team, and that includes all of our favorite residents at The Crossing.

Heading out to a hockey game with your friends or family is a great, affordable night of entertainment that anyone can enjoy. Hockey really is an exciting sport to see live an in person (it’s much better live than on TV, trust us), so pick up your tickets soon and get into the hockey spirit!

It especially helps when you live in a great apartment community like The Crossing, one that’s close by all sorts of great shops and restaurants and fun places to go. We even have a bowling alley just a short distance away when you get the itch to knock down a few pins.

We’re talking about Concourse Bowling on La Palma Ave. in Anaheim. An easy walk from The Crossing, Concourse is without a doubt the best bowling alley in Orange County. They have 40 individual lanes, so they’ve definitely got room for you and your friends if  you want to enjoy a few games. They’ve got lots of other amenities as well, including a great bar and grill that serves lots of great food. They even have league bowling if you’re a serious bowler. It also makes for a great place for birthday parties for the kids, or for your next corporate event.

Bowling is plenty fun, and Concourse is a great place to go even if you’ve never tried it. They have balls and shoes there and ready for you to rent, so take a walk down there sometime soon and try it out. Take a few of your friends with you, too.
