Ring in the Noon Year in Anaheim

Happy New Year!

Are you ready for the New Year? I hope so, because there are plenty of great New Year’s Eve celebrations around Anaheim. However, there is only one place you can ring in the New Year at 12 noon – at the Ring in the Noon Year New Year’s Eve Celebration at the Pretend City’s Children Museum!

This event is great for children and their families! Pretend that it is midnight 12 hours earlier during this great celebration! Here is what everyone can look forward to during Ring in the New Year:

•  Let’s Move: Rockin’Dance Party – Every hour as we countdown to the “Noon Year” we will have a dance party! Featuring the latest and greatest in party songs, you will enjoy moving and grooving in the Orange Plaza.

•  Colorful Cultures: What New Years is complete without the traditional party wear! Join us in the art studio to find color decorations to signify your New Year’s Resolution. For example, want to be more organized next year? Then you may want to use the color blue in decorating your party wear!

•  Sensational Story Time: The Night Before New Years- It’s the night before New Year’s and all through the house…? Come find out during this story time followed by a fun streamer making activity!

•  12:00p.m. Ring in the Noon Year! Join us in Orange Plaza as we ring in the New Year at Noon! This party comes complete with a countdown, ball drop, and dancing!

The event will cost $11 per guest and will last from 10 am to 1 pm. For more information, visit the City of Anaheim website!

Sports in Southern California is about to get fun again! The NBA Lockout has finally ended and the regular season is set to begin on Christmas Day! The best part is that the Lakers will be a part of the first game to kick off the season as they will visit the Kings, starting their journey to another title!

Nutcracker Festival

10 am – 7 pm

Holiday Street Fair held at the Center Street Promenade. The celebration includes a tree lighting ceremony, snow area, free craft activities and train rides for children, entertainment, food and a visit from some special guests. The event is sponsored by the Downtown Anaheim Merchants Association, the Nutcracker Holiday Committee, the City of Anaheim and the Anaheim Community Foundation.
